Quetzal works in a technical field with very different readers: scientists, investors, and partners. We built a site that stays credible to experts while keeping the science clear for everyone else.
The live site, top to bottom. Built mobile-first and fully owned by the client.
Quetzal operates in biopharmaceutical and food science, a technical space with several audiences at once: potential clients, investors, regulatory partners, and internal stakeholders.
The previous site struggled to find the middle ground. It was either too technical or too simplistic, with nothing that respected an expert’s knowledge while staying readable for a generalist decision-maker.
We structured the site so the primary narrative speaks to business decision-makers, with technical depth available for the experts who want it. The site leads with positioning and value, then deepens into the science.
Product and service pages explain real complexity without overcomplicating it. We used plain language for the core ideas and kept the technical detail one layer down, available but never forced on the reader.
The design reflects scientific rigor through clean typography, a structured layout, and careful use of whitespace. The visual message is simple: we are experts, and we respect your time enough not to waste it.
Nothing is oversimplified and nothing is overexplained. The reader stays in control of how deep they go.
The result is a presence that holds up in front of a scientist and a business partner in the same week. It reads as credible to the technical audience while staying clear for the decision-makers who sign off.
The site holds its credibility with technical readers while staying clear to everyone else, which is exactly the balance the work called for.
